I was, I am the casual NBA fan. Just keeping an eye on the playoffs and watching the NBA finals if Lebron is in it. I watched the finals just to see if Lebron would win or lose. You just wasn't sure and his greatness was always in full display during the playoffs. There really wasn't much surprise for the last five years.
Then Kawhi Leonard turned the NBA upside down by taking down the Golden State Warriors. The best team ever to be put together. Then Kawhi made a powerhouse move by stealing Paul George from the Oklahoma Thunder and joining the L.A. Clippers. Now I am thoroughly interested in the NBA and will probably watch more games than I have watched the last 20 years.
I truly can't wait for the season now. I'm not sure who will win but it sounds like the experts all agree that anyone can win this thing. I will be keeping an eye out on these games and probably watch the more intriguing teams. I'm curious to see how the regular season plays out. Can't believe I really just said that. Hell I might even get 2k now. Probably not, not interested in playing the game but who knows.
The teams that I will focus on his the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics, New Jersey Nets, Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, Portland Trailblazers, Denver Nuggets, San Antonio Spurs, Milwaukee Bucks, Indiana Pacers, Detroit Pistons, and the Sacramento Kings. I'll probably learn some players names too. Haven't been this interested in the regular season since the 90's. Just so you guys know, I don't really have a favorite team.
